Description

Preparing Perfect Tenders

Public sector buyers are faced with large numbers of tenders. Initially, the evaluation process aims to reject those tenders which are non-compliant before examining proposals in detail. With more and more companies seeking to work with the public sector, it is critically important that your tenders match the authority's requirements and aspirations. Winning tenders stand out from the other submissions.

Preparing Perfect Tenders can help you increase your company's tendering successes by taking you through the preparation, presentation and evaluation stages of tendering to aid you in developing your response.

This PASS Workshop will give you an insight into what the public sector buyer expects to see in your submission, while ensuring through practical exercises and case studies that you are fully cognisant of the legislation governing the tender process.

We will consider how contractors can harness their own specialisms and sustainable capabilities to increase their ability to deliver successful contracts in the public sector. This can include working with voluntary and charitable organisations, reducing carbon footprint, waste reduction and improved methodologies, indeed just about anything which offers a better and more cost-effective solution to the contracting authority.

The workshop will look to identify how such specialisms and capabilities can then be used to enhance the tender solution being proposed, while at the same time providing a clear understanding of what the contracting authority expects from your responses. It will seek to highlight key areas for you to pay special attention to in your submission, including:

  • Social Enhancements
  • Environmental Benefits
  • Added Value
  • Third Sector Organisations
  • Innovation
  • Reduced Risk

This workshop is designed to be interactive - participation by all attendees is actively encouraged and delegates are welcome to raise questions and issues for discussion during the day.

Who should attend?

  • Tender and bid writers
  • Those contributing to tenders
  • Suppliers looking to improve their skill set
  • Anyone looking to gain greater clarity on what the public sector is looking for during the tendering process

Why attend?

Preparing Perfect Tenders will take delegates through the whole tendering process and provide them with expert guidance and useful tips, with focus on helping attendees understand the legal process and to respond effectively to the ITT.

Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the expectations of procurement personnel and will be provided with clear and concise guidance on how to enhance their bid by using keywords which match with current drivers within the public sector. They will also gain inside knowledge on how tender specifications can be challenged, issues to look for in terms and conditions and the correct approach to evaluation, as well as how and when to present their submission in the best way possible.
